At the Water’s Edge by Sara Gruen

Well written, yet the plot was predictable…convenient resolution to the problems. The historical part of this romance seemed to be added on, characters recapped events, and were not really involved in the crisis of the era.

Easy read, entertaining, conflict is there, mystery, good understanding of the setting and culture of the period, so if you like romance with some explicit sex scenes, and an occasional F-word doesn’t jar you, you many enjoy this book.
